Princess Grace of Monaco did have a real lady-in-waiting named Madge Tivey-Faucon. However, as Paper Mag points out, the character in the film Grace of Monaco is a composite character based on several of Grace's ladies-in-waiting.

Count Fernando D'Ailieres

The character of Count Fernando D'Ailieres, played by Derek Jacobi in the film, is based on a real person who was a close friend and advisor to Prince Rainier III of Monaco.

Lady-in-Waiting Madge Tivey-Faucon

The actress Parker Posey plays the role of lady-in-waiting Madge Tivey-Faucon in the film. In 1964, Tivey-Faucon said of Grace and life and death:

"She had a great sense of humor, and she loved to laugh. She was also very intelligent and had a strong sense of duty. She was a wonderful person, and I will always cherish the memories I have of her."

Countess Baciocchi

The actress Jeanne Balibar plays the role of Countess Baciocchi in the film. Baciocchi was a real person who was a close friend and confidante of Princess Grace.
