July 2, 2023 - Max Verstappen of Red Bull has claimed his fifth consecutive pole position by dominating qualifying for the FORMULA 1 ARAMCO BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2023 at Silverstone Circuit.

The Dutchman set the fastest time of the session in the closing minutes, edging out Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. by just 0.072 seconds. Esteban Ocon took third place for Alpine, followed by Sergio Perez of Red Bull and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes.

A notable incident occurred during qualifying when Valtteri Bottas of Alfa Romeo was disqualified after his car failed to provide the required 10-liter fuel sample for post-session checks.

Verstappen's latest pole position solidifies his dominance in the 2023 season, with seven poles out of the 11 races held so far. The Red Bull driver will be hoping to maintain his winning streak and secure his third-straight victory at Silverstone.
