Babcock Earns Second ACC Player of the Week Honor

Pitt volleyball redshirt senior outside hitter Olivia Babcock has been named the ACC Volleyball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. This is Babcock's second ACC Player of the Week honor this season, as she also earned the award on Sept. 12.

Babcock Had a Great Week

Babcock led the Panthers to a 3-0 week, including a pair of wins over ranked opponents. She averaged 4.50 kills per set, 3.75 digs per set and 0.92 blocks per set for the week.

In Pitt's 3-2 win over No. 23 Georgia Tech on Wednesday, Babcock had a match-high 23 kills, 14 digs and four blocks. She followed that up with 16 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 sweep of No. 24 Louisville on Friday.

Babcock is a Key Player for Pitt

Babcock is one of the most experienced players on the Pitt roster, and she has been a key contributor for the Panthers all season. She is averaging 3.90 kills per set, 3.36 digs per set and 0.82 blocks per set this season.

Pitt is now 18-4 overall and 10-3 in the ACC this season. The Panthers are currently in second place in the ACC standings, and they are one of the top teams in the country. Babcock has been a big part of Pitt's success this season, and she is one of the best players in the ACC.
